Definition of Open Data

Data that can be used freely, can be shared and reused by the people as well as Public and Private Sector agencies.

Implementation of the Open Government Data aims to improve the quality and transparency of public service delivery towards Government information. It is also one of the global evaluation criteria in the e-Government services. The Malaysia Co-operative Institute (MCI) has taken action to identify sets of data for the implementation of open data in each service field of the department.

The use of data or re-use of data shall comply with the terms and conditions.
